Hatric Tablet contains Levocetirizine 5mg, a third-generation non-sedative antihistamine used primarily for the relief of allergic symptoms. Levocetirizine acts as a selective antagonist of peripheral H1 receptors, effectively inhibiting the action of histamine, a key mediator in allergic reactions. This pharmacological action helps alleviate symptoms such as rhinorrhea, sneezing, nasal congestion, and itching associated with allergic rhinitis, as well as urticaria and other dermatological allergic conditions. Hatric Tablet is indicated for the treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, chronic idiopathic urticaria, and other histamine-mediated allergic disorders. It is well tolerated with a low incidence of sedation compared to first-generation antihistamines, making it suitable for patients requiring daytime symptom control without impairment of cognitive or psychomotor functions. The recommended dosage for adults and children over 12 years is one tablet (5mg) once daily, preferably in the evening. Dosage adjustments may be necessary for patients with renal impairment.
