Halowiz F Cream is a topical formulation containing Halobetasol propionate (0.05% w/w), a potent corticosteroid, combined with Fusidic Acid (2.0% w/w), a bacteriostatic antibiotic effective against gram-positive bacteria. This combination is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory dermatoses complicated by bacterial infections, such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis with secondary bacterial colonization. Halobetasol propionate exerts strong anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects by inhibiting multiple inflammatory pathways, thereby reducing erythema, swelling, and itching. Fusidic Acid acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, targeting Staphylococcus aureus and other susceptible organisms, preventing or treating secondary infections. Halowiz F Cream should be applied in a thin layer to the affected area, typically twice daily, under medical supervision, for a limited duration to minimize potential adverse effects. Prolonged use or application over large areas may increase the risk of systemic absorption and corticosteroid-related side effects. It is contraindicated in viral, fungal, or tuberculosis skin infections and hypersensitivity to any component. Caution is advised in pediatric and elderly patients.
