Haloron-S Lotion is a topical dermatological formulation containing Halobetasol propionate 0.05% w/v, a potent corticosteroid, combined with Salicylic Acid 3% w/v, a keratolytic agent. This combination is indicated for the management of various inflammatory and hyperkeratotic skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis. Halobetasol exerts anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects by inhibiting multiple inflammatory cytokines and mediators, thereby reducing redness, swelling, and itching. Salicylic Acid facilitates the removal of scales and promotes the penetration of Halobetasol by softening and exfoliating the stratum corneum. Haloron-S Lotion is applied topically in a thin layer to the affected areas once or twice daily as directed by a healthcare professional. Caution is advised to avoid application on broken or infected skin, mucous membranes, and the face unless specifically instructed. Prolonged use or use over large body areas may increase the risk of systemic corticosteroid side effects. Patients should be monitored for potential adverse effects such as skin atrophy, telangiectasia, or hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression. Haloron-S Lotion is contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation. Use during pregnancy and lactation should be under medical supervision.
