Halonova S Ointment is a topical formulation containing Halobetasol propionate 0.05% w/w, a potent corticosteroid, combined with Salicylic Acid 3% w/w, a keratolytic agent. This combination is indicated for the management of inflammatory dermatoses such as psoriasis, eczema, and other corticosteroid-responsive skin disorders characterized by scaling, thickening, and inflammation. Halobetasol exerts strong anti-inflammatory, immunosuppressive, and antipruritic effects by inhibiting multiple inflammatory cytokines and mediators, thereby reducing erythema, edema, and pruritus. Salicylic Acid facilitates the removal of hyperkeratotic scales by softening and promoting the exfoliation of the stratum corneum, enhancing the penetration and efficacy of the corticosteroid. Halonova S Ointment is applied topically in a thin layer to the affected area, usually once or twice daily, as directed by a healthcare professional.
