Halonext 3S Lotion is a topical formulation containing Halobetasol propionate 0.05% w/v, a potent corticosteroid, combined with Salicylic Acid 3% w/v, a keratolytic agent. This combination is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory and hyperkeratotic skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, and seborrheic dermatitis. Halobetasol exerts anti-inflammatory, immunosuppressive, and antiproliferative effects by inhibiting multiple inflammatory cytokines and mediators, thereby reducing erythema, edema, and pruritus. Salicylic Acid facilitates the removal of scales and promotes desquamation by softening and loosening keratinized skin, enhancing the penetration and efficacy of the corticosteroid. Halonext 3S Lotion is intended for topical use and should be applied sparingly to the affected areas once or twice daily as directed by a healthcare professional. Prolonged use or application over large body surface areas should be avoided to minimize the risk of systemic corticosteroid absorption and potential adverse effects such as skin atrophy, telangiectasia, and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression.
