Halocreme S Ointment is a topical formulation containing Halobetasol propionate 0.05% w/w, a potent corticosteroid, combined with Salicylic Acid 3% w/w, a keratolytic agent. This combination is specifically designed for the treatment of inflammatory and hyperkeratotic dermatoses such as psoriasis, eczema, and lichen planus. Halobetasol exerts strong anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects by modulating the immune response and inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators, thereby reducing redness, swelling, and itching.

Salicylic Acid facilitates the removal of scales and promotes desquamation by softening and loosening keratinized skin, enhancing the penetration and efficacy of Halobetasol. Halocreme S Ointment is indicated for short-term use on affected areas to rapidly alleviate symptoms and improve skin appearance. It should be applied sparingly and avoided on broken or infected skin to minimize systemic absorption and adverse effects.
