Terbinafine exerts its antifungal effect by inhibiting the enzyme squalene epoxidase, leading to a deficiency in ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting cell membrane synthesis and causing fungal cell death. Gris ODT Cream is effective against dermatophytes, yeasts, and molds responsible for conditions such as tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis, and candidiasis. The cream formulation allows for easy application and rapid absorption, providing localized antifungal activity with minimal systemic exposure. It is intended for external use only and should be applied once or twice daily to the affected area after cleansing and drying the skin. Treatment duration varies depending on the infection type and severity but typically ranges from 2 to 4 weeks. Patients should be advised to avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes and to discontinue use if irritation or hypersensitivity reactions occur.
