Gravitor SR is formulated as a sustained-release tablet to provide prolonged therapeutic effects, allowing for more consistent symptom control and improved patient compliance. It is indicated for symptomatic treatment of myasthenia gravis and may also be used in other conditions where enhanced cholinergic transmission is beneficial. The dosage should be individualized based on clinical response and tolerability, with careful monitoring for potential side effects such as gastrointestinal disturbances, excessive salivation, muscle cramps, or bradycardia.
Contraindications include mechanical intestinal or urinary obstruction and known hypersensitivity to pyridostigmine.
