Goodxostat 40 is indicated for patients with chronic hyperuricemia where urate deposition has already occurred, including gouty arthritis and tophaceous gout. It is particularly useful in patients who are intolerant to or inadequately managed with allopurinol. The recommended dose is typically 40 mg once daily, which may be adjusted based on serum uric acid levels and clinical response.
