Glomycan Cream contains Luliconazole 1% w/w, a topical antifungal agent indicated for the treatment of superficial fungal infections of the skin, including dermatophytosis, tinea corporis, tinea cruris, and tinea pedis. Luliconazole belongs to the imidazole class of antifungals and exerts its effect by inhibiting the biosynthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting membrane integrity and leading to fungal cell death. The cream formulation allows for targeted application, ensuring high local concentrations at the site of infection with minimal systemic absorption. Glomycan Cream is typically applied once daily to the affected area and surrounding skin for a duration recommended by a healthcare professional, usually ranging from one to four weeks depending on the severity and type of infection. Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in rapidly alleviating symptoms such as itching, redness, and scaling, while promoting resolution of the infection. It is generally well tolerated; however, patients may occasionally experience mild local reactions such as burning, irritation, or erythema.
