Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, facilitates gastric motility and accelerates gastric emptying, thereby alleviating symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, bloating, and gastric discomfort associated with delayed gastric emptying and gastroparesis. Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells, providing effective relief from acid-related disorders including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and peptic ulcers. The combination offers synergistic benefits by simultaneously addressing gastric motility and acid secretion abnormalities.
