Gabapentin, an anticonvulsant agent, exerts its therapeutic effect by modulating voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system, thereby reducing neuronal excitability and alleviating neuropathic pain. Nortriptyline, a tricyclic antidepressant, complements this action through inhibition of norepinephrine and serotonin reuptake, enhancing analgesic efficacy and providing additional benefits in mood stabilization. The synergistic effect of these agents makes Giae-NT particularly effective in conditions such as diabetic neuropathy, postherpetic neuralgia, and fibromyalgia. This combination may also be utilized off-label for certain anxiety disorders and chronic pain states refractory to monotherapy. Giae-NT should be administered under medical supervision, with dosage adjustments based on patient response and tolerability. Common adverse effects include dizziness, somnolence, dry mouth, and gastrointestinal disturbances.
