Gerdzole-DSR Capsule is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Domperidone 30mg and Pantoprazole 40mg, designed for the effective management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and related upper gastrointestinal disorders. Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, enhances gastrointestinal motility and accelerates gastric emptying, thereby reducing symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and bloating. Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system of the gastric parietal cells, providing symptomatic relief from acid-related damage and promoting mucosal healing. The synergistic action of these two agents addresses both the motility dysfunction and acid hypersecretion underlying GERD, offering comprehensive symptom control. Gerdzole-DSR is indicated for conditions including erosive esophagitis, non-erosive reflux disease, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, among others.
