Rabeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, acts by selectively inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, thereby suppressing gastric acid secretion and promoting mucosal healing. Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, enhances gastrointestinal motility and accelerates gastric emptying, providing symptomatic relief from nausea, vomiting, bloating, and discomfort associated with delayed gastric emptying. The synergistic action of these two agents offers effective control of acid-related symptoms while improving gastric motility, making Genpraz DSR Capsule suitable for patients with erosive esophagitis, non-ulcer dyspepsia, and functional dyspepsia.
