Gazpan-D Capsule SR is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Domperidone 30 mg and Pantoprazole 40 mg, designed for the management of gastrointestinal disorders characterized by acid reflux, dyspepsia, and delayed gastric emptying. Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, enhances gastrointestinal motility by increasing the tone of the lower esophageal sphincter and accelerating gastric emptying, thereby alleviating symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and bloating. Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, providing effective relief from acid-related mucosal damage and promoting ulcer healing. The sustained-release (SR) formulation ensures prolonged therapeutic plasma concentrations, enhancing patient compliance and symptom control. Gazpan-D Capsule SR is indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), functional dyspepsia, gastritis, and other acid-peptic disorders where both acid suppression and prokinetic action are required. It should be used under medical supervision, with caution advised in patients with cardiac arrhythmias, hepatic impairment, or known hypersensitivity to the components.
