Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, enhances gastrointestinal motility by increasing the tone of the lower esophageal sphincter and accelerating gastric emptying, thereby alleviating symptoms of nausea, vomiting, and bloating. Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells, leading to reduced gastric acidity and promoting mucosal healing in conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and peptic ulcer disease.
