Alginic Acid forms a viscous gel that creates a protective barrier or raft on the surface of the stomach contents, preventing reflux of acidic gastric contents into the esophagus, thus reducing symptoms of acid regurgitation and esophageal irritation. Simethicone serves as an anti-foaming agent that decreases bloating and discomfort caused by excessive gas by facilitating the coalescence and expulsion of gas bubbles from the gastrointestinal tract.
