Omeprazole (10mg) + Domperidone (10mg)
Active composition

Omeprazole irreversibly inhibits the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme in gastric parietal cells, leading to decreased gastric acid secretion.
Domperidone antagonizes dopamine D2 receptors in the chemoreceptor trigger zone, inhibiting nausea and vomiting.
Medical applications
Gaspaz Capsule contains a combination of Domperidone 10 mg and Omeprazole 10 mg, formulated to manage gastrointestinal disorders characterized by acid reflux, heartburn, and delayed gastric emptying. Domperidone is a dopamine antagonist that enhances gastrointestinal motility by increasing the movement of the stomach and intestines, thereby facilitating gastric emptying and reducing symptoms such as nausea and vomiting. Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells, leading to decreased acidity in the stomach. The combined action of these two agents provides symptomatic relief from gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), dyspepsia, and related conditions by reducing acid-related irritation and promoting gastric motility. Gaspaz Capsule is indicated for patients experiencing persistent heartburn, regurgitation, and discomfort associated with acid peptic disorders and delayed gastric emptying. It is generally well tolerated; however, it should be used under medical supervision, especially in patients with underlying cardiac conditions or those on concomitant medications that may interact with domperidone or omeprazole. Contraindications include hypersensitivity to either component and known prolonged QT interval. The dosage and duration of therapy should be individualized based on clinical response and physician assessment.
