Fenofibrate belongs to the fibrate class of medications and works by activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARα), which enhances the breakdown and elimination of triglyceride-rich particles and increases high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol.

Eutg Tablet is prescribed to reduce elevated levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, total cholesterol, and triglycerides in patients with hyperlipidemia or mixed dyslipidemia, thereby lowering the risk of cardiovascular disease. It is often used alongside dietary modifications, exercise, and other lipid-lowering therapies when lifestyle changes alone are insufficient.
Fenofibrate may also be beneficial in preventing pancreatitis in patients with severe hypertriglyceridemia. The medication is generally well-tolerated, but potential side effects include gastrointestinal disturbances, elevated liver enzymes, and muscle-related symptoms such as myopathy or rhabdomyolysis, especially when combined with statins. Regular monitoring of liver function and lipid levels is recommended during treatment.
Eutg Tablet should be used under medical supervision, with caution in patients with liver or kidney impairment, and is contraindicated in those with gallbladder disease or hypersensitivity to fenofibrate.
