Esomefol Tablet contains Esomeprazole 40 mg, a proton pump inhibitor used primarily for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Esomeprazole works by selectively inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, leading to a significant reduction in gastric acid secretion.
