Esolembic Tablet contains Esomeprazole 40 mg, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to reduce gastric acid secretion by selectively inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells. It is indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and for the prevention and treatment of gastric ulcers associated with Helicobacter pylori infection when used in combination with appropriate antibiotics.

Esolembic is also effective in managing conditions involving excessive stomach acid production and in the healing of erosive esophagitis. The drug demonstrates a rapid onset of action with a prolonged duration, providing symptomatic relief and promoting mucosal healing. It is generally well-tolerated, with common adverse effects including headache, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.
Esomeprazole should be used with caution in patients with hepatic impairment and is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to esomeprazole or other PPIs. It is recommended to administer Esolembic Tablet prior to meals for optimal efficacy.
