Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, facilitates gastric motility and accelerates gastric emptying, thereby reducing symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and bloating. Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells, promoting mucosal healing and symptom relief. The synergistic action of these agents addresses both acid-related mucosal damage and impaired gastric motility, offering comprehensive symptom control. Esolab DSR Capsule is indicated for patients with erosive esophagitis, non-erosive reflux disease, and functional dyspepsia where acid suppression and prokinetic effects are warranted.
