Esogress-L Capsule SR is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Levosulpiride 75 mg and Esomeprazole 40 mg, designed to manage gastrointestinal disorders characterized by dyspepsia, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and related motility disturbances. Levosulpiride, a selective dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, exerts prokinetic and antiemetic effects by enhancing gastric motility and accelerating gastric emptying, thereby alleviating symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, bloating, and abdominal discomfort. Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in gastric parietal cells, promoting mucosal healing and reducing acid-related irritation in the esophagus and stomach. The sustained-release (SR) formulation ensures prolonged therapeutic plasma concentrations, improving patient compliance and symptom control.
