This medication is indicated for adults and adolescents aged 12 years and above, providing symptomatic relief from depressive episodes and anxiety symptoms. Dosage should be individualized based on patient response and tolerability, with the usual starting dose being 5 mg once daily, which may be adjusted by the healthcare provider. Esease 5 Tablet is generally well tolerated; however, patients may experience side effects such as nausea, headache, insomnia, dry mouth, or sexual dysfunction.
It is essential to monitor for any signs of worsening depression, suicidal ideation, or unusual behavioral changes, especially during the initial treatment period. Caution is advised in patients with a history of bipolar disorder, seizures, or liver impairment. Concomitant use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or other serotonergic drugs should be avoided due to the risk of serotonin syndrome.
