Erbinox Tablet contains Terbinafine 250 mg, an antifungal agent primarily indicated for the treatment of dermatophytic infections such as tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis, and onychomycosis caused by susceptible fungi. Terbinafine acts by inhibiting the enzyme squalene epoxidase, leading to a deficiency of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby disrupting cell membrane synthesis and causing fungal cell death.

Erbinox is administered orally and is well-absorbed, achieving therapeutic concentrations in skin, nails, and adipose tissue. It is typically prescribed for a duration dependent on the infection type and severity, with treatment courses ranging from 2 to 12 weeks. Common adverse effects include gastrointestinal disturbances, headache, and rash, while rare but serious effects may involve hepatotoxicity and neutropenia; thus, liver function tests and blood counts should be monitored during prolonged therapy.
