Erbina 1% Cream contains Terbinafine 1% w/w, an allylamine antifungal agent indicated for the topical treatment of superficial fungal infections of the skin, including dermatophytosis (tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis), and candidiasis. Terbinafine exerts its antifungal effect by inhibiting the enzyme squalene epoxidase, leading to a deficiency in ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, resulting in increased membrane permeability and ultimately fungal cell death.

Erbina 1% Cream is applied once or twice daily to the affected area and surrounding skin after cleansing and drying, typically for a duration of 1 to 4 weeks depending on the infection type and severity. Clinical improvement is usually observed within the first week of treatment; however, therapy should be continued for the prescribed period to prevent relapse. The cream is generally well tolerated, with adverse effects being rare and mostly limited to mild local reactions such as itching, burning, or erythema at the application site.
Erbina 1% Cream should be used with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to terbinafine or any excipients. It is not recommended for use on mucous membranes or in systemic fungal infections. Proper adherence to treatment guidelines ensures optimal therapeutic outcomes.
