Epsolin 300 is indicated for the control of generalized tonic-clonic seizures, complex partial seizures, and prevention of seizures following neurosurgery or head trauma. The dosage should be individualized based on clinical response and serum phenytoin levels, with careful monitoring to avoid toxicity. Common adverse effects include dizziness, ataxia, nystagmus, and gum hypertrophy, while serious reactions may involve hypersensitivity, blood dyscrasias, or severe dermatological reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
