Epsod 100mg Tablet contains Phenytoin, an antiepileptic agent used primarily for the management and prevention of seizures. Phenytoin acts by stabilizing neuronal membranes and decreasing seizure activity by increasing efflux or decreasing influx of sodium ions across cell membranes in the motor cortex during generation of nerve impulses. Epsod is indicated for the control of generalized tonic-clonic (grand mal) seizures, complex partial seizures, and prevention of seizures following neurosurgery or head trauma.
