Eoptal 450 is also utilized as adjunctive therapy for certain types of generalized seizures and may be prescribed off-label for neuropathic pain syndromes. The tablet should be administered orally, with dosing individualized based on clinical response and tolerability, typically initiated at a low dose and gradually titrated to minimize adverse effects.
Common side effects include dizziness, somnolence, headache, nausea, and hyponatremia, necessitating periodic monitoring of serum sodium levels, especially in elderly patients or those on concomitant diuretics.
