This mechanism helps to control seizure activity and prevent recurrence. Eoptal 300 is indicated as monotherapy or adjunctive therapy in epilepsy treatment. The drug is generally well tolerated, but patients should be monitored for potential adverse effects such as dizziness, somnolence, headache, nausea, and hyponatremia. Hypersensitivity reactions and serious dermatological reactions, although rare, require immediate medical attention.
Dose adjustments may be necessary in patients with renal impairment. Eoptal 300 should be used cautiously in individuals with a history of hypersensitivity to carbamazepine or oxcarbazepine.
