By depleting monoamines, particularly dopamine, from nerve terminals, Tetrabenazine reduces excessive involuntary movements, thereby improving motor function and patient quality of life.

Enizahex 25 is administered orally, with dosing individualized based on therapeutic response and tolerability, typically initiated at a low dose and gradually titrated to minimize adverse effects. Common side effects include drowsiness, fatigue, depression, parkinsonism, and gastrointestinal disturbances; hence, patients should be monitored closely, especially for mood changes or suicidal ideation.
Caution is advised in individuals with a history of depression or suicidal tendencies. Enizahex 25 is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Tetrabenazine or those taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors.
