About This Medicine
Product description & overview
Loparin 40 Injection contains Enoxaparin sodium 40 mg, a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) used as an anticoagulant for the prevention and treatment of thromboembolic disorders. Enoxaparin acts by potentiating the inhibition of factor Xa and thrombin, thereby preventing the formation of fibrin clots. Loparin 40 is indicated for the prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in patients undergoing abdominal surgery, hip or knee replacement surgery, and in medical patients at risk of thromboembolic complications. It is also utilized in the treatment of acute deep vein thrombosis with or without pulmonary embolism and as an adjunct in the management of acute coronary syndromes, including unstable angina and non-Q-wave myocardial infarction. The injection is administered subcutaneously, allowing for predictable anticoagulant effects without the need for routine laboratory monitoring in most cases. Dosage and duration of therapy should be individualized based on patient weight, renal function, and clinical condition. Caution is advised in patients with bleeding disorders, severe renal impairment, or those receiving concomitant anticoagulants or antiplatelet agents. Loparin 40 Injection should be used under strict medical supervision to minimize the risk of hemorrhagic complications.
