Lmwx 40 Injection contains Enoxaparin sodium 40 mg, a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) used as an anticoagulant to prevent and treat thromboembolic disorders. Enoxaparin acts by inhibiting factor Xa and to a lesser extent thrombin (factor IIa), thereby reducing the formation of fibrin clots. Lmwx 40 Injection is indicated for the prophylaxis of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which may lead to pulmonary embolism in patients undergoing abdominal surgery, hip or knee replacement surgery, or in medical patients with severely restricted mobility during acute illness. It is also employed in the treatment of acute deep vein thrombosis with or without pulmonary embolism, often in conjunction with oral anticoagulants. The injection is administered subcutaneously, with dosing adjusted according to the clinical indication and patient-specific factors such as renal function and body weight. Monitoring of anti-factor Xa activity may be required in special populations, including those with renal impairment, obesity, or pregnancy. Adverse effects include bleeding, thrombocytopenia, and injection site reactions. Lmwx 40 Injection should be used cautiously in patients with bleeding disorders or those receiving other anticoagulants. Contraindications include active major bleeding and hypersensitivity to enoxaparin or heparin.
