Olumiant 2mg Tablet contains Baricitinib, a selective Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor used primarily in the treatment of moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis in adult patients who have had an inadequate response or intolerance to one or more disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs). Baricitinib exerts its therapeutic effect by inhibiting the activity of JAK1 and JAK2 enzymes, thereby modulating the signaling pathways involved in the inflammatory process. This action helps reduce joint inflammation, pain, and structural damage associated with rheumatoid arthritis, improving physical function and quality of life. Olumiant may be administered as monotherapy or in combination with methotrexate or other conventional DMARDs.
