Ketorolac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for inflammation, pain, and edema. Olopatadine, a selective histamine H1 receptor antagonist with mast cell stabilizing properties, effectively alleviates symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis such as itching, redness, and swelling by preventing the release of histamine and other inflammatory mediators. Okt Eye Drop is indicated for the relief of ocular itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis and for reducing inflammation and pain following ocular surgery or injury. The dual-action formulation provides rapid symptomatic relief while addressing the underlying inflammatory processes. It is typically administered as one or two drops in the affected eye(s) two to four times daily or as directed by a healthcare professional.
