About This Medicine

Product description & overview

Moxidrop Eye Drop is a sterile, preservative-free solution containing 0.5% w/v of moxifloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibacterial agent. It is indicated for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis, including purulent conjunctivitis, and for the reduction of inflammation and suppression of bacterial conjunctivitis. Moxidrop Eye Drop is administered topically, 2-3 times a day, as needed, and is available in 5mL or 10mL dropper bottles. The solution is clear, colorless, and free of particles. The pH is within the physiological range of 6.0-7.5. Moxidrop Eye Drop is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to moxifloxacin, and should be used with caution in patients with a history of ocular surface disease or increased intraocular pressure. Common adverse reactions include burning sensation, stinging, and itching, which typically resolve without treatment. Rarely, patients may experience blurred vision, increased lacrimation, and conjunctival redness. As with any medication, the potential for systemic absorption and the risk of adverse reactions must be considered. Moxidrop Eye Drop should be used under the guidance of a healthcare professional and in accordance with the product label and package insert.
