About This Medicine
Product description & overview
Moxifed-LB 625 Tablet is a fixed-dose combination antibiotic containing amoxycillin 500mg, clavulanic acid 125mg, and lactobacillus 60 million spores. This product is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections, including pneumonia, sinusitis, and skin infections, as well as infections of the urinary tract, respiratory tract, and soft tissues. Amoxycillin, a penicillin-class antibiotic, inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, while clavulanic acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, inactivates beta-lactamase enzymes, thereby preserving the antibacterial activity of amoxycillin. Lactobacillus, a probiotic, supports the gut microbiome and enhances the overall immune response. Moxifed-LB 625 Tablet is contraindicated in individuals with a history of allergic reactions to penicillin or cephalosporins, and in patients with severe kidney or liver impairment. The most common adverse reactions reported with Moxifed-LB 625 Tablet include diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. As with any antibiotic, Moxifed-LB 625 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disorders or with prolonged use, and should be used under the guidance of a healthcare professional.
