Product description & overview
Monoclar 250 Tablet is a prescription-only medication containing Clarithromycin, an azalide macrolide antibiotic. This medication is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible strains of microorganisms, including Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, Staphylococcus aureus, and Streptococcus pyogenes. Monoclar 250 Tablet is also effective against Mycobacterium avium complex and Helicobacter pylori. The medication is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to Clarithromycin or other macrolides, as well as those with a history of torsades de pointes or prolonged QT intervals. Monoclar 250 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver or kidney disease, and in combination with other medications, such as theophylline or warfarin, as it may interact with these agents.
