About This Medicine
Product description & overview
Mosi-DF Eye Drop is a topical corticosteroid and antiproliferative agent combination product indicated for the treatment of inflammation and pain associated with cataract surgery and inflammatory postoperative ocular wounds. The product contains a fixed combination of moxifloxacin 5mg and difluprednate 0.5mg per 0.1mL. Moxifloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibacterial agent, inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, thereby preventing bacterial DNA replication and transcription. Difluprednate, a corticosteroid, reduces inflammation and pain by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators and suppressing the immune response. The combination of these two agents provides a synergistic effect in reducing inflammation and pain, making Mosi-DF Eye Drop a valuable adjunct to surgery in patients undergoing cataract surgery or treated for inflammatory postoperative ocular wounds. The product is administered topically, three times a day, and may be used for up to 28 days.
