Mighty Mox Eye Ointment is a topical antibacterial ointment containing 0.5% w/w Moxifloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. This sterile ointment is indicated for the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis and bacterial blepharitis caused by susceptible strains of bacteria, including Haemophilus influenzae, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Moraxella catarrhalis. It is also effective against Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae, which can cause inclusion conjunctivitis and gonococcal conjunctivitis, respectively. The ointment should be applied topically to the affected eye(s) 1-2 times daily for 7 days, or as directed by a healthcare professional. It is important to note that Moxifloxacin has been shown to be safe and effective in pediatric patients aged 1 year and older, as well as in adult patients. The ointment should not be used in patients with a history of allergy to Moxifloxacin or other fluoroquinolones.
