MG Clave 625 Tablet is a fixed-dose combination antibiotic preparation containing amoxycillin (500mg) and clavulanic acid (125mg). It is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and Moraxella catarrhalis. Amoxycillin, a penicillin-type antibiotic, inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, while clavulanic acid, a β-lactamase inhibitor, prevents the action of β-lactamase enzymes, thereby maintaining the effectiveness of amoxycillin. The combination exhibits bacteriostatic and bacteriocidal activity against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
