Jupicef is indicated for the treatment of a variety of bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections (such as bronchitis and pneumonia), urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, otitis media, and sinusitis caused by susceptible organisms. The drug exhibits bactericidal activity by interfering with bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death. Clavulanic Acid protects Cefuroxime from enzymatic degradation, ensuring sustained therapeutic levels.
