Gudcef-CV Oral Suspension is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Cefpodoxime Proxetil 100mg and Clavulanic Acid 62.50mg per 5ml, designed for the treatment of bacterial infections. Cefpodoxime Proxetil, a third-generation cephalosporin, exhibits broad-spectrum bactericidal activity by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens. Clavulanic Acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, enhances the efficacy of cefpodoxime by preventing enzymatic degradation of the antibiotic, thereby extending its spectrum to beta-lactamase producing resistant strains. Gudcef-CV is indicated for respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and otitis media caused by susceptible organisms.
