Choline Salicylate, a salicylate derivative, exerts anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis at the site of application. Lidocaine, a local anesthetic, provides rapid onset of numbness by blocking sodium channels in neuronal membranes, preventing nerve impulse conduction and alleviating pain. Ora-Fast Gel is indicated for symptomatic relief of oral ulcers, denture irritation, minor oral trauma, and other painful mucosal lesions. The gel formulation allows for targeted application, ensuring localized effect with minimal systemic absorption. It is suitable for adult and adolescent patients and should be applied sparingly to the affected area up to four times daily or as directed by a healthcare professional.
