Omrin 20 Capsule contains Omeprazole 20mg, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to reduce gastric acid secretion by selectively inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells. It is indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and other conditions associated with excessive stomach acid production. Omrin 20 Capsule provides symptomatic relief from heartburn, acid regurgitation, and esophagitis, promoting mucosal healing and preventing ulcer recurrence. The medication is typically administered orally, with the capsule designed for delayed release to ensure optimal absorption in the intestine, minimizing degradation by stomach acid. Omeprazole’s efficacy in reducing acid secretion helps in managing Helicobacter pylori infections when used in combination with appropriate antibiotics. It is generally well tolerated; however, potential side effects may include headache, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, and dizziness.
