Omez-D SR+ Capsule is a combination pharmaceutical formulation containing Domperidone 30 mg and Esomeprazole 40 mg, indicated for the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), dyspepsia, and related acid-peptic disorders. Esomeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), acts by selectively inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, thereby suppressing gastric acid secretion and promoting mucosal healing. Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, enhances gastrointestinal motility and accelerates gastric emptying, effectively reducing symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and bloating associated with delayed gastric emptying. The sustained-release formulation of Omez-D SR+ ensures prolonged therapeutic plasma concentrations, improving patient compliance and symptom control.
