Ocid-DSR Capsule is a combination medication containing Domperidone 30mg and Omeprazole 20mg, indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acid peptic disorders, and related gastrointestinal conditions. Domperidone, a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist, enhances gastrointestinal motility and accelerates gastric emptying, thereby reducing symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and bloating. Omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in the gastric parietal cells, providing effective relief from acid-related mucosal damage and promoting ulcer healing. The synergistic action of these two agents addresses both the underlying acid hypersecretion and delayed gastric emptying, offering comprehensive symptomatic relief in patients with dyspepsia, GERD, and peptic ulcers.
