Nudoxy Capsule contains Doxycycline 100 mg, a broad-spectrum tetracycline antibiotic effective against a wide range of bacterial infections. It acts by inhibiting protein synthesis in susceptible bacteria, thereby preventing bacterial growth and replication. Nudoxy is indicated for the treatment of respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia and syphilis, and certain types of acne. It is also used for prophylaxis against malaria in endemic areas. The capsule formulation allows for convenient oral administration with good bioavailability. Nudoxy should be taken with a full glass of water to minimize the risk of esophageal irritation and ulceration. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to doxycycline or other tetracyclines, and in pregnant or lactating women due to potential adverse effects on fetal bone and teeth development. Common adverse effects include gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, as well as photosensitivity reactions.
