Mupon 2% Ointment is a topical antibacterial medication containing Mupirocin as the active ingredient at a concentration of 2% (w/w). It is intended for the local treatment and prevention of secondary bacterial infections, including impetigo and wound infections caused by susceptible strains of Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. Mupon 2% Ointment should be applied sparingly to the affected areas, up to three times a day. It is not recommended for use in the eyes, mouth, or vagina without medical advice. Prolonged use may lead to bacterial resistance, and the development of skin reactions.
