About This Medicine
Product description & overview
Montgold Tablet is a fixed-dose combination product containing Levocetirizine (5mg) and Montelukast (10mg) designed to provide relief from symptoms of allergic rhinitis and asthma. Levocetirizine, an antihistamine, inhibits the release of histamine, a key mediator of allergic reactions, thereby reducing symptoms such as nasal congestion, sneezing, and itchy eyes. Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist, blocks the action of leukotrienes, potent bronchoconstrictors, thereby alleviating bronchospasm and reducing inflammation in the airways. The combination of these two agents provides rapid and sustained relief from symptoms of allergic rhinitis and asthma, including nasal congestion, sneezing, runny nose, itchy and watery eyes, and wheezing. Montgold Tablet is indicated for the treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children above six years of age. It is also indicated for the treatment of asthma in adults and children above six years of age.
